The small print
Cookies.One that matters.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels, nothing sold or shared. The only cookie that does anything is the one that keeps the vote fair.
What we set
| Cookie | What it does | Kept for | When |
|---|---|---|---|
dbg_consent | Your choice from the cookie notice: yes or no. | 1 year | Always, once you choose |
dbg_voter | A random ID that remembers your votes, so each person gets one vote per car and can take it back. | 1 year | Only if you allow it and vote |
Keeping the vote fair
Clearing cookies or opening a private window would otherwise give someone a fresh vote. So with each vote we also keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your network address and a secret. It can't be turned back into the address, and the address itself is never stored. Up to 3 votes per car can come from one network, so everyone in a household can vote.
Saying no
Without the vote cookie the site works the same, except voting. If you subscribe, we keep your email address to send build notes and nothing else.
The other site
jasonpieters.ai, Jason's hub for every project, sets no cookies.
