The save game: how the build log works
Every garage session is timed to the minute, and the log becomes the script for the videos.
The app keeps the clock. I keep the wrench.
- Start a session. The app shows a QR code with the session and the time. Hold it up to each corner camera for a second, and every camera's footage lines up with the log.
- Work through the steps. Each step gets a start, a done and notes.
- Say "save me here". A save point records the time, the step, a voice note as text, and photos.
- Log the tests. A measurement, a first start, a leak check: what got done is data, not memory.
At the end of the day the log is the edit list. Each logged moment marks where to cut the footage, and the voice notes become the first draft of the script. I approve every script before it's voiced.
